Adam Partridge, PA-C, is a first-time recipient of the Utah Academy of Physician Assistant’s Rural Physician Assistant of the Year Award.

The Utah Academy of Physician Assistants (UAPA) has named Adam Partridge, Intermountain Health physician assistant at Intermountain Sevier Valley Clinic in Richfield, Utah, Utah’s Rural PA of the year.

“Most people who go into medicine do it to help other people, and not for any type of status,” said Partridge. “It’s nice to be recognized for the effort.”

Partridge has been a PA at the Sevier Valley Clinic for four years. His growing practice has allowed him to help more people in the community. He says his approach to caring for patients is about compassion.

“I approach medicine like I’m the patient, because I know what it like to feel scared or not feel like you’re getting answers,” said Partridge. “I try to answer questions and spend time with patients to help them understand their conditions and how to manage them.”

On an award plaque, UAPA compiled comments they received about Partridge which include:

  • “Adam Partridge is a world-class PA working in a hometown setting. He shows great compassion for his patients and is able to empathize with them greater than any other healthcare provider that I have met.”
  • “Even through tele-medicine is more convenient than ever, he will still take the time to make house calls to those who aren’t able to make it into the office because of medical conditions, or technology restrictions.”
  • “Adam makes balloon animals for his pediatric patients (and sometimes the adults, too). Kids will come in hurting and scared to see the doctor, but they leave with a smile on their face.”
  • “Adam is not a typical provider; he is an extraordinary provider.”

Partridge also shares his appreciation for Sevier Valley Hospital and his fellow care providers.

“The people in central Utah are the best people in Utah, and they make the best caregivers in the state,” said Partridge.

Adam Partridge, PA-C, is a member of Intermountain Medical Group and sees patients at Intermountain Sevier Valley Clinic inside Intermountain Sevier Valley Hospital. He is accepting new patients, and can be scheduled at 435-893-0580.
