École Ducasse and Hectar A partnership to promote sustainable food in gastronomy

École Ducasse and Hectar will launch a Professional Training course on the theme of “Bringing Biodiversity and Sustainable Food to the Plate“. Hectar is an association dedicated to accelerating the agricultural transition and supporting start-ups in this field across Europe. Hectar also creates initiatives backed by major groups such as Parfums Christian Dior. The two-day professional training course scheduled for 20 and 21 June will enable chefs to better identify the role they need to play in the transition to healthier, more sustainable food and will cover key topics such as soil regeneration, climate issues and the importance of the chef-producer relationship. It will also include an immersive visit to the Hectar pilot farm, as well as conversations with renowned chefs who have initiated new forms of collaboration with producers and implemented self-production “kitchen-garden-chef” approaches.

 

All École Ducasse Bachelors and career conversion programs will also be enriched with a two-day module on sustainable food. This addition will form an integral part of the healthy and natural cooking module from 2024 onwards and will focus on plant-based cuisine as well as territorial diversity, with an immersive visit to the Hectar pilot farm and talks by experts on the themes of soil regeneration, permaculture and fermentation.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to dedicate 300 MW Nokhra Solar Project of NTPC Green Energy Ltd to the nation

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will dedicate the 300 MW Nokhra Solar Project of NTPC Green Energy Limited to the nation through video-conferencing on 16th February, 2024.Spread over 1550 acres in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, the project is being executed under the CPSU Scheme (Phase-II) with an investment of Rs 1803 crore to ensure green power to the state of Telangana.

 

With generation of 730 million Units per year, this project will not only light up over 1.3 lakh households, it will also help restricting 6 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission every year. Going forward, the project is expected to restrict CO2 emission to the tune 15 million tonne in a span of 25 years.

 

Over 13 lakh solar PV modules have been installed in this project under the flagship Make-in-India programme, thereby strengthening Govt of India’s resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat. As NTPC is actively pursuing a “just transition” by incorporating more and more clean energy into its portfolio, this project will play a key role in reducing carbon emissions, thus contributing to a more cleaner and sustainable energy future.

 

NGEL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC and aims to be the flag bearer of NTPC’s Renewable Energy journey with an operational capacity of over 3.4 GW and 26 GW in pipeline including 7 GW under implementation.

 

NTPC Limited is India’s largest integrated power utility having 74 GW installed capacity that contributes 25% of total electricity produced in India. By 2032, NTPC is looking to expand its non-fossil based capacity to 45-50% of the company’s portfolio that will include 60 GW RE capacity with a total portfolio of 130 GW.
