Beat the Streets Wrestling (BTS), the largest grassroots inner city wrestling program in the United States, and USA Wrestling have announced that tickets for the annual BTS benefit, featuring stars of Team USA vs. NCAA Champions, are on sale beginning today via Ticketmaster. The 10th annual event, to be held on Monday, May 6, at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, serves as both a fundraiser for BTS and to celebrate its athletes as they compete on the biggest stage in the center of the world.
Tickets are priced starting at $30 at https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/3B005668AA091B69. A variety of donation packages which include “Grapple in the Garden” tickets are also available at https://www.btsny.org/bts-events or by emailing molalde@btsny.org, beginning at $1000. Doors open on May 6 at 5:30 p.m., with the main event starting at 6 p.m.
Beat the Streets, Inc. will invite select members of the 2018 U.S. Men’s Freestyle World Team, which placed second in the 2018 World Championships and won seven World medals, as well as select top USA women’s wrestlers. The competing athletes from USA Wrestling and NCAA schools will be announced at a later date.
“We are pleased to be able to allow so many more fans to experience the BTS ‘Grapple at the Garden’ in person that the additional capacity at Hulu Theater at MSG provides,” said Beat the Streets Executive Director Brendan Buckley. “There are a wide variety of donation levels and ticket seating options to fit fans’ budgets. And, the introduction of the NCAA champions as the Team USA opponent will give fans the opportunity to see the next wave of great American wrestlers in action.”
Beat the Streets Benefit competitions, which began in 2010, have since become a major showcase of the best of international wrestling. This unique and electrifying annual event has helped Beat the Streets raise millions of dollars to support local youth wrestling programs which empower young people in New York City.

‘Running Accountant’ Comes in Third at Standard Chartered Race
Has Won the Race Three Times Before
Hong Kong, March 5, 2019- Stefano Passarello is a man who wears the hat of corporate entrepreneur and super athlete with equal ease and felicity. Born and raised in Italy, Passarello sensed an opportunity in Hong Kong early on and founded an accountancy business there in 2005. It has since grown exponentially and was successfully acquired by the Hawksford group where he serves as Managing Director.
At the same time S. Passarello is a passionate sportsman and fitness enthusiast who is particularly interested in long distance running. He has to his credit three victories at the prestigious Standard Chartered Marathon, which is a Hong Kong Athletics Association Category race organized annually and several races – he still holds the record for the 15km in Hong Kong. The apex of the sport career was in World Championship Iron Man Hawaii, having run the fastest ever marathon time for an Age Grouper.
Stefano explains, “I started running to stay fit and as my business grew to be successful, I gradually became a serious athlete. Along the way I managed to break down the image of a boring and out of shape accountant”.
That Passarello is an accomplished athlete is evidenced by the fact that he has 15 marathons to his credit. In the 2014 Standard Chartered race, which he won, he was pitted against 73000 competitors. Passarello is now 37 years old and continues to run at major events. He last participated in the recently concluded the Standard Chartered race, where he came in third.
Clearly the ‘running accountant’ has many more milestones to reach both as a successful business entrepreneur and a long distance runner.
