New District Officer for Eastern District assumes office (with photo)

Mr Henry Lai will assume the post of District Officer (Eastern) tomorrow (April 22), succeeding Mr Simon Chan.
Mr Lai joined the Government in 2007 and served in the Executive Officer Grade before joining the Administrative Service in 2008. He has served in various bureaux and departments, including the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Home Affairs Department, the then Food and Health Bureau, the Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office, the Development Bureau and the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau.
He was an Assistant Commissioner for Tourism at the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau before taking up the new post of District Officer (Eastern).
