InfoVision leads strategic dialogue on AI monetization in Telecom at TM Forum Tour Mumbai

Insightful workshop explores how telecom players can leverage AI for data monetization, customer experience, and network automation.

At the recently concluded TM Forum Tour Mumbai, InfoVision hosted an engaging and forward-looking workshop titled “Monetizing Telecom AI: Balancing Data, Customer Experience, and Network Automation.” The session brought together telecom leaders for a focused conversation on how artificial intelligence is redefining monetization models, enhancing customer experience, and enabling intelligent network automation.

The workshop was conducted by Sampath Paranavitane, Vice President and Head of Global Strategy at InfoVision, Abhilash Vantaram, Vice President – Technologies & Solutions and Head of Cloud & Data, Emerging Tech & Innovation at InfoVision, Nilesh Mahajan, Vice President at Jio Platforms, Vivek Gaur, Vice President at Colt Technology Services and Alhad Tamhane, Vice President at Jio Platforms. Their combined perspectives offered a rich exploration of how telecom operators can translate AI capabilities into tangible business outcomes.

The session explored how AI is being integrated into next-generation networks to improve operational efficiency and prepare for 6G, how telecom data can be monetized through intelligent, AI-powered strategies, and how customer engagement is being reshaped through hyper-personalization and predictive insights. The panel also emphasized how AI-led automation is driving the emergence of self-optimizing, agile networks that can adapt to real-time demands.

“The telecom industry stands at a tipping point where AI adoption is not optional—it’s critical,” said Sampath Paranavitane. “Our session aimed to demystify AI monetization and provide a strategic lens through which telecom leaders can act.”

Part of a larger forum that drew over 200 telecom leaders from across the industry, TM Forum Tour Mumbai convened senior executives from companies such as Jio Platforms, Airtel, Vodafone, Accenture, PwC, Bain & Company, Lightstorm, Tata Communications, Sri Lanka Telecom, and more. Discussions throughout the event highlighted AI, cloud, and emerging technologies as key enablers of future-ready telecom strategies.
