A warm quilt and a box of food can make all the difference in the world for a needy family or a veteran who has sacrificed so much for us

The Women’s Quilting Group at White Lake Presbyterian Church has been making a heartfelt impact by creating and donating quilts to those in need. Recently, in collaboration with the Desert Angels of Linden, the group gifted 25 handmade quilts to a Veterans Hospital in Germany, providing warmth and support to those who have served our country.

When the Gold Star Mothers of Milford reached out for assistance, the quilting group responded with open hearts, donating additional quilts to families in need. Each quilt, meticulously stitched with love, embodies the group’s dedication to service and compassion.

“We find immense joy and fulfillment in crafting these quilts, knowing they bring comfort and show our deep gratitude,” shared a spokesperson for the quilting group. “Our mission is simple: to spread love and warmth, one quilt at a time.”

The Women’s Quilting Group meets weekly, blending social time with their passion for sewing and community outreach. Their doors remain open to new charitable projects and requests from families in need. Those wishing to learn more or to recommend recipients can contact White Lake Presbyterian Church at (248) 887-4654.

In addition to their quilting efforts, the church supports the community through Food for Friends, a food pantry that provides essential supplies to local families. For more information on this vital program, visit foodforfriendspantry.org.
