UGC alerts public to fraudulent websites

The following is issued on behalf of the University Grants Committee:
The University Grants Committee (UGC) today (September 23) urged members of the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent websites, which were found to purport to be the website of the UGC.
The UGC hereby clarifies that its official website is www.ugc.edu.hk. The UGC Secretariat has reported the case to the Police.
A spokesperson for the UGC reminded members of the public to stay alert, and that they should refrain from visiting suspicious websites or disclosing any personal information. Anyone who has provided personal information to such websites should report to the Police as soon as possible.
