OpenVault Company would provide service electric cablevision with tools such a PMA innovation in order to expand the bandwidth remedies and performance to its subscribers in northeastern of Pennsylvania. The commitment builds on previous OpenVault PMA statements in Europe and several roll-outs at broadband operators in North America.
Ensuring our subscribers get what they want when they want is the goal of the company, said Jim Dorsa who is the Director of Engineering for Service Electric Cablevision. The cooperation with OpenVault helps us advance the level of broadband services and it allows consumers to have the highest sense of satisfaction in their broadband experience in our network.
While growth remains robust, the tempo of those trials and adoption of our PMA product has accelerated as operator networks advance to DOCSIS 3. 1 and beyond, noted Mark Trudeau, Founder and CEO of OpenVault. Like many of the companies that CCGS has unveiled as either a PMA announced or an unannounced customer, Service Electric understands that our software development can get the most out of its current plant investment.
OV PMA product of OpenVault is designed to manage modulation profiles employed by DOCSIS 3. 1 cable modems OFDM(A) channels. These profiles are then repeatedly checked and tweaked daily depending on shifting RF impairments so that the end users quality of service is optimized. This leads to an increase of network carrying capacity by up to 40 percent and increases the reliability of DOCSIS 3. 1 modem hence is an important feature especially when impairments are present.
