Maureen Crethan Santora commenced her career in the New York City Public School System in 1967, where she dedicated herself as an early childhood teacher for more than 25 years. Taking a break from her profession, she devoted her time to raising her four children. Tragically, her only son, Christopher, who bravely pursued his dream of becoming a firefighter by joining the Fire Academy in January 2001, lost his life as a hero on September 11, 2001. In an effort to help young students comprehend this devastating event, Maureen penned this book, aiming to enlighten children about the destructive power of hatred.
