WOMAN is strength personified. She is this sublime creation of nature who embodies love, compassion, benevolence, and profound empathy.
Women’s Day is a celebration of this feminine energy.
We as women, have always had to walk that extra mile, and put in that extra effort to make a mark in a gender-biased society. That has not deterred us in the past, nor will it in the future.
Over the years, women have struggled, fought, and evolved to break societal barriers. It’s time now for society and the MEN to evolve in mindset and learn to accept that they are not the “superior” homo-sapiens.
When I started to train as a “SURGEON” in the early 90s, this was a largely male-dominated branch of medicine. The path was riddled with hurdles and challenges, much more than my male counterparts, but eventually it has been that much more exciting and fulfilling. It is so heartening to see that scenario changing, with more women taking up various “surgical” branches and excelling in them.
Let’s raise a toast to all the women and as the saying goes: TO ALL THE STRONG WOMEN, may we know them, be them, and raise them
So, to all those wonderful women out there, accept yourself with all your strengths and flaws. Make yourself a priority and let it begin with your HEALTH and WELL-BEING
