The article highlights Matrixs origins and focuses on their tremendous growth and rich history of meaningful projects throughout the country and the Caribbean. Co-Founder and Senior Vice President, Dennis Petrocelli, PG, provides information on the types of projects the firm handles. He explains how the company’s New Jersey base and the unmatched wealth of talent in the metro region was critical to establishing its experience and national reputation. The regions commitment to infrastructure spending lent itself to a strategy of leveraging subcontractor opportunities on mega projects to grow our experience and staff.
Similar to how Matrix established itself in the Northeast, the firm has found success throughout the country by focusing on local and regional needs.
In Arizona were heavily involved in hydrogeological investigations, Petrocelli said. Management of water resources in the desert environment is the Southwests largest environmental issue considering the regions explosive growth and limited resources. In recognition of this challenge, we built a team of world class groundwater modelers that study project feasibility and work with local governments to ensure long-term sustainable communities.
Matrixs expansion into the Gulf region followed a similar trajectory: After getting involved with the cleanup of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon BP Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill, Matrix leveraged its experience to build a full-service environmental service offering in the Gulf Region. We manage wetland mitigation banks and various types of eco assets for large, Fortune 500 companies in the Gulf, Petrocelli said of the regions demand. We are also exporting the cutting-edge climate resiliency and offshore wind experience from our New Jersey and New York offices to serve a growing demand for those services in the Gulf.
Matrix has kept its roots in New Jersey while executing its geographical expansion. They boast one of New Jerseys largest staff of environmental and engineering professionals and continue to promote and deliver on the States priority projects that include offshore wind, transportation infrastructure, urban redevelopment, and flood resiliency. Petrocelli proclaimed that after 30 years in business, New Jerseys opportunities remain robust. The States unmatched commitment to infrastructure spending, sustainable development and equitable outcomes is matched only by the quality of its people. We are here to stay.
To further the companys ambitious growth initiative, Petrocelli discussed the companys recent partnership with True Environmental, backed by Halle Capital, a New York based investment group that works with consulting and engineering firms to provide capital solutions to accelerate growth. Petrocelli stated, Our private equity partners recognized the tremendous growth potential that has been established by our employees over the last thirty years. We are excited to deliver on a vision that will be beneficial for both our employees and investors.
