Paris Saint-Germain Judo is delighted to announce the arrival of Damiano Martinuzzi as head coach. The 43-year-old Belgian will coach the Rouge et Bleu squad alongside Nicolas Mossion and Florent Urani.

Between 2010 and 2018, the Belgian was part of the Francophone Belgian Judo Federation (FFBJ) coaching team, with whom he took part in two editions of the Olympic Games (London 2012 and Rio 2016). In the British capital, he accompanied Belgian athlete Charline Van Snick in her bronze medal campaign in the -48kg category.

In January 2019, Damiano Martinuzzi joined the Flemish Judo Federation (Judo Vlaanderen) as head coach of the elite group and took part in the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.

The Parisians new coach helped Belgian athletes Toma Nikiforov and Matthias Casse win major international titles. Under his guidance, the two judokas won an Olympic bronze medal (Matthias Casse in Tokyo), six world medals (including one win) and eight continental medals (including three wins).
