Legion follows Richard Trevino Jr. as he embarks on a journey with the French Legion for adventure, leaving his family behind without telling them anything. This book also tells about the feelings that bottled up for way too long for not being able to tell his family why he did the things he did and not being able to recoup the lost years away from the people he loved dearly.
Richard joined the U.S. Army and was assigned to Iraq. Despite being in an active war, he still connected with his family. After his time in Iraq, he went home and spent his time around town.
When another opportunity came, this time from the French Legion, he had his name enlisted as he craved the adventure of being in the military. This time, he didnt tell anyone in his family. He followed his desires and joined the French Legion.
Richard Trevino Jr. wrote this book as an apology for what he did. Writing his story served as therapy for everything he went through to release any negative feelings that had been inside his head for quite some time. He had no regrets about embarking on a journey and fulfilling what he always wanted.

Authors Biography
Born in the oil and ranch region of South Texas in a small town called Alice, the birthplace of Tejano music, to a poor working-class family. There was no work for his family in Alice in the early 70s, and subsequently having to move to San Marcos, which is on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, looking for better jobs and better opportunities for the small family. As a young boy, he yearned for adventure and always wanted to see the world. Having to grow up as a ranch hand gave him the strength and determination to be persistent in life. To adapt to any situation and to move forward in life no matter what the situation. Qualities that he would need later in life after joining the US Army and the French Army. From the hills of Korea to the deserts of Africa he has roamed. You know to some people hes the unluckiest guy in the world but to others, hes the luckiest S.O.B. youll ever meet. Either way, you see it he is Richard Trevino Jr. from a small town in Texas and he is very happy that readers are taking the time to read his little story about his life.
