From buying to e-commerce, omni-channel retail, and everything in between; Mix U equips students with the fundamentals they need to run a thriving fashion business
For an eager fashion student or entrepreneur, it can be overwhelmingly daunting to know where or how to start to get a foot in the door when starting one’s own business, or even exploring a career in fashion. Mixology Clothing Company is taking matters into their own hands to inspire the next generation of fashion students and entrepreneurs with education, empowerment, and apprenticeship. Mixology Clothing Company, New York’s premier brick-and-mortar and online fashion retailer is proud to announce the launch of Mixology University’s third chapter, an interactive and informative course empowering people to see different aspects of the fashion business and speak with professionals in the field.
Mixology University breaks the mold of ‘traditional’ schooling that prepares students to go find a job with an employer and work their way up a corporate ladder. On the contrary, Mix U also educates, equips, and empowers students to start and build up their businesses by learning the fundamentals of leadership, entrepreneurship, and the ins and outs of the fashion retail industry. Students will have the unique opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals and business owners, picking their brains and asking their questions in a welcoming environment.
Currently in its third year, Mixology University is the brainchild of both Jordan and Gabrielle Edwards, the brother/sister duo behind Mixology Clothing Company. From day one their vision has been to inspire confidence through handpicked, affordable fashion, and that vision has expanded into inspiring the next generation of fashion leaders in this country and beyond.
“From this course, you will get a high level of understanding of the fashion business, a great resume builder, and access to the entire Mixology team for experiences, connections, and letters of recommendation. But most importantly, you will learn about how to treat people. I firmly believe that success is about how you treat each other, as well as your customers. If there is one thing you will take away from this course, I want it to be that.” – Jordan Edwards, CEO of Mixology Clothing Company
Classes will begin on July 5th and are welcome to all students interested in the business of fashion. Courses are offered in both a basic and premium version with scholarship opportunities available to those who qualify by applying. All students who enroll will be offered:
- Virtual Recorded Classes
- Work Book
- Letter of Recommendation

- Giveaways
“Driven by an insatiable desire to grow, I seized the opportunity to enroll in the fashion leadership course, at Mix University. After graduating, I caught the attention of the company and was extended an internship offer. The company recognized my potential and rewarded my efforts by offering me a full-time position as a Social Media Coordinator and E-Commerce Assistant. I am so thankful that Mixology Clothing Company gave me the tools I needed to be successful.” – Eugenia Curbelo, Mix U Coordinator
