Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in the field of health care, Ms. Braziel-Marshall presently excels as the owner of Sharron Nursing Academy. Since establishing the institution in 2021, she has trained certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses. Alongside her work with Sharron Nursing Academy, she is the assistant director of nursing for Raydiant Health Care of Jacksonville. During the first part of the pandemic, she functioned as a traveling nurse with Maxim Healthcare Staffing, through which she maintained responsibility for assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with acute conditions, including heart attacks, respiratory distress syndrome, COVID-19 and more. Over the course of her career, Ms. Braziel-Marshall has worked at the CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center, the Christiana Care Hospital and the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
During the early stages of her professional journey, Ms. Braziel-Marshall gained valuable expertise in the field as a Florida Department of Corrections nurse. As a licensed practical nurse first, then becoming a registered nurse with Nurse Source, Ms. Braziel-Marshall gained her first hospital experience at Reception and Medical Center, the hospital for incarcerated inmates. Likewise, she worked in similar roles with the Florida State Prison System for nearly 20 years, where she provided care for incarcerated inmates and trained newly certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses. Throughout the course of her career, she has also availed herself on behalf of the Medicare Division of Blue Cross Blue Shield.
An expert in her field, Ms. Braziel-Marshall holds an Associate of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Outside of her work, she is a mentor and counselor at her local church. While her career has been filled with standout moments, she is most proud to have established the Sharron Nursing Academy and to have worked on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Braziel-Marshall credits the influence of her parents, (Bishop Alvin L. Jones, Sr and Murria M. Jones) who encouraged her passion for contributing to her community. Looking toward the future, she hopes to become a Nurse Practitioner and to establish two additional nursing academies and continue helping others.
