Green Minibus Real-time Arrival Information System extended to cover 453 routes

*******************************************************************************

The Transport Department (TD) announced that with effect from today (June 28), the number of Green Minibus (GMB) routes covered under the GMB Real-time Arrival Information System has been further extended from 391 to 453 to facilitate passengers’ trip planning.

A spokesman for the TD said, “Since its official launch in March 2021, the GMB Real-time Arrival Information System has been operating smoothly with the support of the GMB trade. The TD has uploaded the real-time arrival information of a total of 391 GMB routes in five phases since the launch of the system. Further to the current extension to 453 GMB routes, the TD will continue to work closely with the trade to upload the real-time arrival information of the remaining some 100 GMB routes, with a view to achieving full implementation by the end of this year.”

Passengers can check the estimated arrival times of the next three GMBs arriving at specified en-route stops (or departing from the termini) of the routes concerned through the TD’s mobile application “HKeMobility”. The relevant data will also be released in machine-readable format via the Public Sector Information Portal (data.gov.hk) for public use free of charge.

Relevant publicity materials have been posted at the termini and inside the GMB compartments of the GMB routes concerned to inform passengers of the arrangements.
