Nicki Geigert Will Sign Copies of Her Children’s Book “Who’s Yawning Now?” at the 2022 ALA Annual

Photographer and author Nicki Geigert will drop by at the 2022 American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference & Exhibition for a book signing session. She will sign copies of her book “Who’s Yawning Now?” at the exhibit hosted by ReadersMagnet at booth 1147. The ALA Annual is the world’s biggest library event and will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington D.C.

For those who wonder whether animals yawn, the picture “Who’s Yawning Now?” provides the answer. Yes, animals yawn, even fish. The book is about yawning animals that Geigert had photographed yawning during her travels in different parts of the world. All animals in this book were photographed yawning; some have wide open teeth baring and tongue hanging out yawns, while others were captured at the end of their yawns.

“Who’s Yawning Now?” does not only entertain the readers about the animals that yawn. The book also informs them of the plight of animals that are facing extinction. The readers learn about the struggles that animals go through on a daily basis. The animals in the book are listed in the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species.

Author Bio

Nicki Geigert received her B.S. in Physical Education degree from Washington State University, Pullman, WA in 1969 and M.S. Ed. in Curriculum Design and Development from National University, San Diego, CA in 2002. She is also a certified ACE personal fitness trainer.

Being a wildlife, landscape, and nature photographer, Nicki has been passionate about photography since childhood. Her goal has been to capture wildlife in their natural habitats and tell their stories. Having photographed on all seven continents, her photos capture wildlife in their natural habitats and her work has been featured in gallery shows, Fodor’s travel guides, and coffee table books.

Capturing different lifestyles, wildlife, and landscapes is what drives her passion. Nicki likes to get up close and personal to capture the candid moments of wildlife. She hopes to keep traveling the world and expanding her portfolio.
