Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, at a media session at the Tsing Yi community isolation facility this afternoon (March 6):
Reporter: About the hotline you just talked about for COVID patient to contact authorities directly, how long do you think it will take for authorities to arrange the patients into the isolation facilities? And also secondly, there are complaints that it is not very hygienic here, is there any improvement the authorities can do?
Secretary for Security: First of all, we will try to arrange admittance into these isolation facilities as soon as possible. Basically, it all depends on the availability of the rooms and the situation of the individuals. For example, we are going to launch the hotline later this evening and we expect the first batch of people being sent here tomorrow morning. You talked about the hygiene situation here, of course we have heard about some of the complaints. We are going to enhance the cleaning, and to make sure that all the hygienic things should be ready, like hand wash. All the things should be ready. Thank you.
