In a just released Gallop Poll, 78% of Americans are dissatisfied with the moral and ethical climate in America, said Sonia Fabemoli, the Executive Director for the Tampa Bay association. 67% of those surveyed said the moral values in America are getting worse.
The poll was conducted on a random sample of more than 1,000 Americans from all 50 states.
Humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard saw the decline in society back in 1980 his response was The Way to Happiness, a non-religious moral code, based on common sense. Mr. Hubbard wrote the booklet to help people find their own path to a more moral and happier life, said Ms. Fabemoli.
Included in The Way to Happiness is precept 6, Set a Good Example, in which Mr. Hubbard concluded, Dont discount the effect you can achieve on others simply by mentioning these things and setting a good example in your own right.
Visitors to the centers open house on February 26th will be toured throughout the facility which includes informational displays to introduce visitors to every element of The Way to Happiness program.
The Way to Happiness program includes a series of public service announcementsone for each of the booklets 21 common sense precepts. The book has also been brought vibrantly to life in an unabridged book on film. The Way to Happiness Educators Package contains the materials needed to implement the program and fully engage students.
The Way to Happiness Downtown Clearwater center is located at 33 N Fort Harrison Ave. The center is open Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 1pm and from 2pm until 6pm. Saturdays and Sundays, the center is open from 2pm to 6pm. Appointments are not necessary.
