About the Author:

Fran is a practising artist who studied art at the University of Saskatchewan. She has worn several hats over the years, including: farmer and business owner, art teacher, decorator, librarian, mother and grandmother, and, now, writer and illustrator.

Growing up a ‘crazy horse girl’ on the Alberta prairies, she later farmed in Saskatchewan, where she raised her two children surrounded with critters: numerous cats, a couple of dogs, a few donkeys, cows, some chickens, a handful of rabbits, and even a goose named Helga.

Currently, she lives in Calgary, Canada, with her partner and cranky cat Mo. She likes renovating, gardening, and taking classes.
