Lviv Tech Unites the Most Trusted Technology Partners, Now in One Place

Lviv IT Cluster, the host of IT Arena – one of the largest tech conferences in Europe, is launching Lviv Tech in Ukraine. In partnership with USAID, Lviv IT Cluster’s new tech platform hopes to bring Ukrainian technology companies to the global market.

Lviv Tech, a venue that can connect US and EU clients with fast-growing Ukrainian tech innovations, vendors, and businesses.

Lviv Tech is the totally new B2B digital database and research platform to introduce Ukrainian vendors to the global tech industry, to create a business in one, united digital ecosystem, and to provide access to the qualitative research data and insights on local technology and digital businesses. This move will facilitate faster development of the Ukrainian tech ecosystem, and will be anchored in Lviv as a prominent tech center. The platform consists of a shortlisted selection of the most trusted Ukrainian partners and members and is now available in English.

In addition, platform features include:

  • direct communication between clients and companies via online search by size, activity, and types of services

  • opportunity to expand your network and build fruitful partnerships with thriving Ukrainian businesses 

  • ability to browse the unique collection of research studies, summaries and articles on local tech industry insights all in one place on Lviv Tech platform

This project was co-funded by USAID Competitive Economy Program. At the 2019 Strategy Session, the member companies of Lviv IT Cluster launched the initiative. Work on the project’s execution proceeded throughout 2020-2021. Further collaborations between Lviv IT Cluster and global partners and sponsors are going to be announced over the coming months.

Lviv Tech aims to become a necessary tool for supporting tech companies, bringing a digital catalog of companies to the marketplace. With this new tech marketplace and the vision of Lviv as a tech destination, Lviv IT Cluster has plans that emphasize bringing Ukrainian technology to the global market with new innovative solutions and dynamic business models for mobility, energy, FinTech, Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things and beyond.

“The goal of the Lviv Tech project is to promote the Lviv IT industry on the global market,” said Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster. “The platform will be useful for small and medium-sized companies because it will help them to be promoted without additional marketing costs and likewise leading global players will have an effective channel for locating the skilled and talented in Ukraine.”

“Our mission is to turn Lviv into a modern hub of the technological world,” said Andriy Sadovyi, Lviv City Mayor. “We have over 30,000 IT specialists in Lviv, and it’s not just people who work in companies.”

“The speed of Ukraine’s digital transformation and its IT sector development is impressive.” said David Anderson, Chief of Party of the USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP). “According to a survey of the e-commerce market in Ukraine, conducted by the USAID Competitive Economy Program in 2020, the e-commerce market has grown by nearly 40 percent since 2019. Therefore, we are confident that Lviv Tech will help Ukrainian IT companies to gain many more new clients and create even more well-paid jobs in Ukraine.”
