Wounding case in Wong Tai Sin reclassified as murder

     Police reclassified a wounding case in Wong Tai Sin on December 6 as murder.



     At around 3am on December 6, Police received a report that a woman was shouting for help at a flat in Ching Wo House, Tsz Ching Estate, Wong Tai Sin.



     Police officers arrived at scene and found a 24-year-old woman sustaining injury in abdomen. She was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state for treatment. After initial investigation, Police arrested a 46-year-old woman for wounding at the scene.



     The 24-year-old woman was certified dead at 2.50am yesterday (December 7).



     Upon further investigation, Police reclassified the case as murder. Police seized a carving fork which was suspected in connection with the case.  Police laid a holding charge against the 46-year-old woman with one count of murder and the case will be mentioned at Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts today (December 8).



     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.



     Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Wong Tai Sin is underway. Anyone who witnessed the case or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 6157.
