Nicholas Urgesi, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Urgesi obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from California State University, Fresno in 2013 and continued his education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, California, in 2018. At the San Joaquin College of Law, Mr. Urgesi won several Witkin Awards of Academic Excellence in Contract Law, Real Property Law and Individual Income Tax.

Upon passing the California bar examination, Mr. Urgesi served as a law clerk at Freedman Law, one of California’s premier personal injury law firms, and was subsequently hired as an associate attorney. He has been selected for inclusion in the Northern California Rising Stars list, a distinction only bestowed upon 2.5% of the attorneys in the region. Mr. Urgesi has also been listed by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. In addition, he has been nominated to the prominent attorneys’ fraternity Lawyers of Distinction.

Mr. Urgesi attributes his success to his mentor, Stephen R. Cornwell, one of the owners at Freedman Law. He chose personal injury as an expertise because he enjoyed how it intertwined with medicine, since he is a childhood cancer survivor and is in a long-term study for childhood cancer survivors through the Children’s Hospital of Chicago. According to Mr. Urgesi, his career highlight has been the occasion when he co-counseled in a case against a child welfare service organization for neglect, which has been the largest case he and the firm have worked on. In coming years, he is hoping for continued success with Freedman Law.
