Canada – Minister François-Philippe Champagne to make major announcement concerning Atlantic Canada’s life sciences sector

The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, will visit Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, to make a major announcement concerning Atlantic Canada’s biomanufacturing sector.

In July 2021, the Government of Canada announced its Biomanufacturing and Life Sciences Strategy, which presents a long‑term vision to protect Canadians against future epidemics and pandemics.

The Minister will hold a media availability following the announcement.

Media representatives can participate to the event in person or virtually.

Media outlets wishing to take part in the teleconference are asked to contact ISED Media Relations no later than 5 p.m. (ET) on November 17 to receive the dial-in information.

Media representatives attending in person will be required to wear a mask and provide proof of vaccination. 

Following the announcement, media representatives will be invited to join the Minister for a tour of the facility.
