SHA congratulates swimming athletes on winning gold medals at National Games for Persons with Disabilities

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Caspar Tsui, today (October 24) warmly congratulated Hong Kong swimmers Wong Hon-yin and Cheong Sui-kei for winning a gold medal in the Men’s and Women’s S14 200m freestyle events respectively at the 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 8th National Special Olympic Games of the People’s Republic of China held in Shaanxi Province. These are the first two gold medals won by Hong Kong athletes at this Games.

     Mr Tsui said, “Wong Hon-yin and Cheong Sui-kei performed extremely well in the competitions and broke the national record. I am so proud of them and I wish Hong Kong delegation every success in upcoming competitions.”
