Police severely condemn individual organisation for refusing to provide information

***********************************************************************************

The National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police Force issued notices in writing to various organisations on August 25 this year requesting for information to be provided no later than today (September 7), pursuant to Schedule 5 of the Implementation Rules for Article 43 of the Hong Kong National Security Law. While certain organisations have submitted information to Police, some others requested an extension for the submission.

Police noticed an organisation openly expressed again that it would not follow the above legal requirement and reject to provide the information. Police severely condemn such acts.

Police reiterate that failing to provide information in time will be liable to a fine of $100,000 and to imprisonment for half year. Police stressed follow up actions will be taken in accordance with the law should any person or organisation fail to follow the requirement.
