ExCo Non-official Members congratulate Wong Ting-ting on winning bronze medal at Tokyo Paralympics for Hong Kong

The following is issued on behalf of the Executive Council Secretariat:

     The Non-official Members of the Executive Council (ExCo Non-official Members) today (August 28) expressed their warmest congratulations to Hong Kong table tennis player Wong Ting-ting for winning a bronze medal for Hong Kong in the Women’s Singles TT11 event at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to her coach and the table tennis team.

     The Convenor of the ExCo Non-official Members, Mr Bernard Chan, said, “With her sports talent and strenuous training, Wong Ting-ting delivered high standards of performance at her Paralympic debut and grabbed the first medal for the Hong Kong, China Delegation in the Games. We are thrilled with her result.”

     The ExCo Non-official Members hope that the Hong Kong, China Delegation will continue to unleash their potential and achieve outstanding results in the other events. They support the Government in continuing its various policy measures for promoting disability sports to allow persons with disabilities to display their strengths through sports.
