Skin Grip makes ultra-strong tape to help diabetics secure glucose monitors to their skin for up to 10 days. In response to customer requests, they are branching out from solid-colored to patterned with their new camouflage adhesive patches.

Skin Grip is helping people with diabetes secure their continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) in style with their new camouflage-patterned adhesive patches. Skin Grip’s ultra-strong adhesives are known for their strong function in anchoring CGMs to the skin for up to 10 days, and as the first of Skin Grip’s patterned adhesives, the camo patch is doing its job with personality.

Isaac Parkinson started Skin Grip after watching his diabetic brother struggle to keep his glucose monitor in place day after day. “The CGMs work great when they’re secure, but they can fall off pretty easily in your sleep or when you’re doing sports or even just brushing by another person,” said Parkinson.

A lost or broken glucose monitor leads to a number of stressors as diabetics scramble to monitor their blood sugar using finger pricks and ultimately have to replace these expensive devices prematurely.

Parkinson’s answer to this frustrating problem is Skin Grip adhesive that comes in tape rolls or overpatches for Dexcom G6, Freestyle Libre, Omnipod, and other glucose monitoring devices. The super-strong tape helps keep these devices in place in spite of heavy physical activity, sweat, showers, a restless night’s sleep, and even watersports. If applied correctly, Skin Grip products can keep CGMs firmly anchored for 10-14 days.

“Diabetes is stressful enough without having to feel like your CGM could fall off at any minute,” said Parkinson. “Our product emboldens diabetics to live fearlessly and without limits.”

Skin Grip’s patches have previously been available in solid colors, but Parkinson began receiving a steady stream of customer requests for patterned versions.

“Some people like to go subtle with skin-colored patches, but others want to go bold, and we respect that,” said Parkinson. “Many of our customers embrace an active lifestyle, including hunting, hiking, and fishing and this patch sends a message about the things they love.”

The new camo overpatch works for the Dexcom G6, Freestyle Libre, and Medtronic sensors. It comes in two color combinations:

  • Green/brown/black
  • White/brown/gray

Each pack contains 20 patches, 10 of each color combo.

Parkinson said the camo patches have been a huge hit with customers, and orders have outpaced his expectations. His team is looking forward to releasing more patterned patches to keep up with customer demand. To learn more about Skin Grip and their new camouflage adhesive patches, visit www.SkinGrip.com.
