Salt Lake City is the newest host of the dazzling indoor holiday festival, Lumaze: a twinkling – and safe – wonderland of over a million lights, festive music, food and a market. Opens November 19th at the Salt Palace. Holiday revelers encouraged to buy tickets early, due to limited capacity with COVID-19 safety measures.
Salt Lake City-Ogden, UT – Salt Lake City is the newest host of the dazzling and successful indoor holiday festival: Lumaze. The Salt Palace will be transformed November 19 – January 2 into “A Fairytale Christmas”, a twinkling – and safe – wonderland of over a million lights:
– Larger-than-life illuminated displays
– A candy cane light tunnel
– Festive music, treats and drinks
– A Gingerbread Castle Playground for the little royals
– Magical glowing swings and hopscotch, designed for kids of all ages
– Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus
– Beautiful, glowing frames to create your perfect holiday photo
“We really want to help create a memorable experience for the community during this time of COVID-19, when we have fewer chances to get out of the house for safe, family fun,” said Lawrence Jansen, CEO and founder of Glow Gardens, the owner of Lumaze and its sister festival, Glow. “The Salt Palace is an ideal venue as it’s so spacious and open, it’s the perfect canvas to create our Fairytale Christmas in a safe, socially-distanced landscape. And it allows our guests to enjoy some holiday spirit while staying dry and warm indoors.”
Guest safety is top of mind, and Lumaze will be following the COVID-19 precautions and protocols of local and state authorities. Lumaze is largely a one-way experience, to minimize guest contact. Groups should be limited to six people in their social bubble, and stay together in the exhibit; groups and individuals are asked to remain 6-feet from other guests; hand sanitizing stations are abundantly provided throughout the venue; extra staff have been hired for ongoing cleaning.
Wearing a mask is mandatory at all times – especially festive and cheery masks! Our elves will be popping in to surprise people showing extra holiday spirit.
To ensure guests have a memorable, socially-distanced experience, capacity will be highly reduced. All tickets will have an entry time, to control the volume and flow of visitors. Because of the limited capacity, holiday revelers are encouraged to buy tickets early, to ensure they can secure their preferred night and time. Tickets for Lumaze are on sale now and must be purchased in advance at www.lumazelights.com.

About Glow Gardens
Glow Gardens is the parent company of Lumaze and Glow, holiday festivals designed to bring people together to laugh, stroll and play under the twinkle of a million lights. With deep roots in their home community of Langley, British Columbia, the founding Jansen family connects neighbours and families year-round with their floral and vegetable greenhouses, Darvonda Nurseries; and they have extended that spirit to celebrate the warmth of the holiday seasons with Glow Gardens. ‘Christmas Glow’ first launched in 2017 near Vancouver, BC, and has since expanded to include Harvest Glow and Lumaze, visiting more than a dozen locations in Canada, the US and Denmark.
In 2020, Glow Gardens will be celebrating Christmas in five locations, with an abundance of caution, and under the guidance and approvals of local health authorities (Greater Vancouver, BC; Edmonton, AB; Niagara, ON; Halifax, NS; Salt Lake City, UT). Visit www.glowgardens.com for more information.
