Puchheim near Munich, August 31, 2020 – The energy transition relies on hydrogen for climate neutrality: The Bavarian hydrogen fuel cell expert “Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH” (www.proton-motor.de) scores with its more than 20 years of being in the hydrogen industry. As a result of regional alliances and strategic partnerships as well as the “National Hydrogen Strategy” and the “Green Deal” of the European Union, hydrogen is enjoying a trend-setting upgrade as a regenerative energy source. This circumstance reflects the impact in the further upward trend for the Puchheim technology “Made in Germany”. Compared to the 2019 interim balance sheet, Proton Motor recorded a 309 percent increase in sales in the first (Corona-) half of 2020. The now published report of the British listed parent company “Proton Motor Power Systems plc” also states that sales up to June 30th, 2020 exceeded total sales for 2019 at 769,000 GBP by 43.1 percent to 1.1 million GBP. On the stock exchange, the “PPS” share recorded a price increase of 136 percent in the same period.
“We at Proton Motor are very pleased that our strategic cleantech competence can successfully support climate-neutral products and solutions with aspects of the new hydrogen subsidy programs,” said Proton Motor CFO Roman Kotlarzewski, commenting on the highlights from the current financial report. There is still no acute Covid-19 case on site. According to the board, the hygiene and safety precautions are still high. In this year’s six months orders were received from E-Trucks Europe, Vonovia SE and Shell New Energies with a total value of 6.5 million GBP. As part of the delivery of the 180 kW fuel cell system for the Rostock hydrogen power plant, an agreement was made with APEX Energy Teterow for ten 100 kW containers. New incoming orders can also be recorded for the rail and maritime applications.
