June 25th, 2020, Mumbai, INDIA. Following the grand success of India’s largest Recycling Conclave – RACE 1 & RACE 2, both of which witnessed large gatherings of well over 250+ delegates, Polymerupdate and PWorld Tech have now scheduled RACE 3 – (Recycling And the Circular Economy). This will be a Virtual Conference in association with SPE (Society Of Plastic Engineers) India.

In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, we need to relook at how the world perceives plastics and must appreciate the role this miraculous commodity has played in helping fight the virus. PPE suits, face masks, surgical gloves, face shields, medical supplies, water bottles and food packaging are just some of the products which heavily depend on plastics raw material and we all know the unequivocal importance of the above mentioned products in either containing, fighting or dealing with the virus. Plastics have indeed played a key role in helping protect our world as it navigates through the COVID 19 pandemic. We have to accept that plastics are proving to be a boon during this time of extreme crisis.

While there is no doubt that plastics are a blessing during the time of the coronavirus, we cannot ignore the importance of plastics waste management. How does one regulate the disposal of the millions of face masks and surgical gloves after use? What happens to the face shields and the PPE suits after they have served their purpose? These pertinent questions will be addressed at RACE 3, India’s biggest and most credible Conference on Recycling. The aim is to educate India on how to handle plastics more responsibly and respectfully. The conference will also highlight the importance of moving from a linear to a circular economy by discussing recycling and redesigning of plastic products.

In order to help India gain a deeper understanding of what single-use plastics is and how India needs to handle products made from plastics in a more responsible manner, Polymerupdate, PWorld Tech and SPE India are together planning RACE 3, on Friday, July 17, 2020.

The theme of the conference will be – Global Opportunities In Recycling And Circular Economy Post Coronavirus Era.
