Indian Institute of Finance hosted the 45th IIF Webinar series on “Essence of Life and Growth” by UK’s Mrs. Arunima Kumar, Kuchipudi Dance Artist, Meastro and Guru; Deciple of Padma Bhushan Smt Swapna Sundari at age 7 and later Deciple of Padmashree Guru Jaya Rama Rao and Vanasree Rao, INDIA; Head, Kuchipudi Faculty, Bhavan, UK; Founder, Arunima Kumar Dance Company, London, UK). The Webinar was moderated by Prof. Aman Agarwal, Professor of Finance & Dean (IR) Indian Institute of Finance (www.iif.edu) and Executive Editor, Finance India (www.financeindia.org). The Webinar was attended by over 68 global participants on Zoom, Facebook and Youtube from USA, Spain, Indonesia, Germany, UAE, South Africa, India and others.
Mrs. Arunima Kumar said that life is a journey and one should enjoy every moment of this journey and always be positive and solution oriented in life. Personal growth is more important in life rather than one’s financial growth. Everyone should invest in themselves in terms of time, money and efforts to live a healthy, happy and satisfied life. Life is not about money and power, rather it’s all about the power of knowledge and personality which gives happiness and satisfaction in life feels Mrs. Kumar.
According to her, in order to celebrate life one should be positive in life and try to find joy at every moment of life by accepting the reality of that time. Spirituality and meditation is important in life as meditation can be anything we do in the right way. She explained this with her personal life examples. Happiness is a state of mind; the government should try to create a type of matrix which facilitate to full-fill the basic needs of the people said Kuchipudi dancer Guru Mrs. Arunima Kumar. Mrs. Kumar opinioned that one should always be a student and strive to learn new things every day. Youth should try to make the use of the environment around them and they should have a long term perspective in life to grow further.
Talking about her journey of growth and development in India, she gave reflections on how she learnt the art of appreciating and nurturing love and respect for Humanity. Mrs. Kumar said that India has huge potential, which needs to be harnessed. Indians must strengthen the MAKE in INDIA today as the Time is Ripe to leverage the Opportunity to induce sustained growth and lay foundation for a stronger enriched Hindustan going ahead. She feels that India performs best in times of uncertainties and challenging opportunities.
