IIT Roorkee Ranks 3rd among IITs in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2019 and Improves its Asian Rank
Department of Architecture & Planning and Department of Management Studies of IIT Roorkee are at the top position and in General Engineering IIT Roorkee moved up and obtained 2nd position nationally
New Delhi, 7th May 2019: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has been ranked 3rd amongst IITs in the recent Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2019. The Asian rank of the Institute has also improved from 65 to 54 this year.
IIT Roorkee has improved its scores in several individual departments like Engineering, Geology, Environmental, Earth & Marine Science. In engineering they have moved one position ahead this year from 3rd to 2nd. In Geology, Environmental and Earth & Marine sciences, they have moved one position up and are at the 2nd position. In Business and Management, they are at the top position moving from 2nd to 1st position. In Architecture, they have moved 1 position ahead and obtained 1st position. In addition they have also improved their score in Chemical Engineering and moved ahead from 4th to 3rd position.
IIT Roorkee has also maintained its 2nd position in Biological Science and 4th position in Computer Science, Mechanical and Aerospace, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Civil Engineering, Chemistry and Physics & Astronomy.
