Ziggurats were monstrous, multi-storied pyramid sanctuaries worked in old Mesopotamian towns in western Iranian level. The word ‘Ziggurat’ signifies ‘to expand on a raised zone’. The Ziggurats were the piece of the enormous sanctuary complex that incorporated a few different structures too.
