Columbus, WI (APRIL 11, 2019): Residents of Larson House Memory Care and Assisted Living Community returned back home after a four day evacuation due to flooding of the Crawfish River and closure of River Road in Columbus which displaced many in our community. “There is no place like home,” resident Shirley exclaimed upon her return to Larson House.
The call to evacuate came Thursday evening and within a few hours Administrator Missy Bloomhuff, LPN, and House Manager Miindy Austin and their amazing staff, residents’ family members and countless volunteers safely relocated all residents to temporary housing. Without their assistance and that of our tremendous community partners, it would not have been possible. We would like to give a heartfelt shout out of appreciation to:
