Mr Singh who also supervised the rescue and relief operations after the tsunami in the worst hit Nicobar and little Andaman Islands in December 2004 , has very closely read, seen and dealt with the impact of climate change congratulated the school for taking such a noble initiative of educating the kids and the parents on this grave subject.

Commenting on the event, Madhu Singh, Founder, and Director, Rhythm Play School, said “We believe that our children are the future torchbearer, and as the first preamble to their education, we should imbibe the right quality in them. I remember last year, post-Diwali, we had to shut our school because of the hazardous pollution level. Some of our kids complained of breathing problems as well which really saddened us all. Our staff then decided that we would take this initiative of doing our bit and seeding the plant of change in our kids and their parents. Our “Save Earth” campaign is not just an annual function, this is our consistent effort to make our kids and their parents more aware of our environment.”

The event organizer and choreographer, Amanpreet Kaur added “ As a mother and a teacher, I don’t want to leave a list of sorry behind to my future generation. Sorry that we had greed put profit above people and greed above the need. Though our program, we wanted to create an impact that just using cycle for a day is a good start or just saying no plastic is a big contribution”

During the event kids performed on vivid themes with messages like, say no to plastic, conserve water, Keep your roads clean, plant more trees etc. Parents learned something new and applauded in each of their acts. The school also urged everyone, especially the parents and grandparents to pass on this campaign in their network.
