Dehradun: The adventure will soon begin in Uttarakhand with the fourth edition of The Ultimate Uttarakhand Himalayan MTB Challenge, a premier mountain cycling event. This nine day annual event is being organized by Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in association with Cycling Federation of India from, 18th to 26th April, 2019.
The event will cover an approximate distance of 564 kms, touching upon 8 districts of Uttarakhand namely- Nainital, Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi and Dehradun. The race will have six stages along with the peaceful halts at Almora, Kausani, Rudraprayag, New Tehri, Chinyalisaur with the finish of last leg at Mussoorie.
The prize money has been classified as two categories, namely Stage Prizes and Over All Prize Money, wherein the division has been done into 6 stages; the winner would have a chance to win a grand sum of ₹80,000.
The participants will get the chance to experience great Himalayan views, tranquil serene lakes, forested hills, green valleys, river side and rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. The event has already started getting an overwhelming response and participation from more than 15 countries with almost 100 national and international riders is anticipated. What’s more? The participants will be able to register free of cost and even the boarding, lodging and local transportation will be provided by the organizers.
The prize distribution and closing ceremony of the event will be held on 26th April, 2019 at Dehradun.
