Kempinski Hotel Bahía, is delighted to welcome the talented international soprano Teresa Karcher on 21 March 2019 for an evening of classical music, accompanied by Nicole Panizza on the piano.
Teresa Karcher was born in Germany but raised just outside Malaga. She discovered her love of singing and dancing from an early age, going on to study flamenco at Amor de Dios in Madrid and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. As an adult, she became the concert director for the semi-professional orchestra Charities Philharmonia and most recently co-founded the Beethoven Orchestra for Humanity – an orchestra named after Beethoven that has been described as “a new orchestral experience for today’s world”.
Much praised for her “beguiling, golden tone”, Teresa has a special affinity with the Spanish repertoire, she has performed twice at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla of Granada, Spain. Her concert will include popular pieces such as “Habanera” and “Seguidilla” from “Carmen”, “Las Morillas de Jaén”, by Federico Garcia Lorca, and “La soirée dans Grenade” by Debussy. With a focus on Spanish composers as a tribute to her adopted homeland of Andalucia and Spain, the evening promises to be one of great beauty and talent, a must for those with a passion for culture and Andalucia!
Teresa will perform at Kempinski Hotel Bahía on 21 March at 19:30, spaces are limited. Entry includes pre-concert welcome drinks. Axel Bethke, General Manager, states, “As part of Kempinski Hotel Bahía’s dedication to the arts and culture and in conjunction with Project Music, we are pleased to welcome such a prestigious artist as Teresa. It will be a memorable evening.”
