What: Baaya Design, the social enterprise behind the cultural arts store named Baaya in Lower Parel, is committed to the celebration of Indian art forms. Part of Baaya’s mission is to work closely with the artisans of rural India and elevate their status with opportunities in the landscape of urban architecture and interior design. This revives the Indian cultural arts and gives contemporary spaces a whole-new idiom to work with.

Baaya would like to invite you to “Jewellery to Joy”. The event is a live session with noted jeweller Seema Srivatsav. Ms. Srivatsav is a consistant collaborator with Baaya Design and her designs are present at The Baaya Store.

Jewellery to Joy is the second event from the Baaya stable in honour of Women’s Week, having earlier held a book discussion on the occasion of Women’s Day. In the year forward, Baaya seeks to present content to their growing community that is exciting and art-inspired.

At the event, Ms. Srivastav will be demonstrating a confluence of gemstones and their healing powers on the mind, body, and soul. She will also touch open the ability of certain gemstones to create a stress-free atmosphere whilst also being able to style them in a manner that is attractive and beautiful when adorned. The traditional Indian craftsman accompanying her(Karigar) will be creating pieces of attractive jewellery such as braceletes with gemstones to produce stylish yet healing pieces of eye-catching jewellery. Stop by as they make quick bracelets for visitors and take requests.

This occasion coincides with the Baaya Design Annual Clearance sale with attractive discounts upto 50% off on exclusive handcrafted products.

Baaya Design continuously tries to weave together a new story for spaces and the people through various art forms that extends our rich legacy. The brand believes in an elegant fusion of traditional crafts, contemporary aesthetics and modern functionality for a luxurious and homely experience. Like the Indian weaver bird, the company stands for distinctive craftsmanship and design in home products and solutions.
