FIAPO and Plant-Veda (Nutriva) collaborate to promote India’s first dairy-free kid’s nutrition and the world’s first peanut butter-milk.
This February, FIAPO and Plant Veda (Nutriva) are joining hands to promote India’s first plant-based kids Nutrition and the world’s first plant-based buttermilk. This association is a part of FIAPO’s Corporate Outreach campaign where businesses that produce consumables by using animal products, are encouraged to use cruelty-free ingredients (or) brands that are already cruelty-free and provide ample vegan products, are promoted.
Plant Veda (Nutriva) is best known for bringing to the people goodness of nature through its exclusive range of plant-based milks and milk products. In the wake of harsh realities like, environmental crisis and cruelty to farmed animals, Plant Veda is already moving closer to plant-based lifestyle, one product at a time. Each product is nourished by nature, making it naturally cholesterol free, lactose free, cruelty free, and healthy. Here are some of their vegan products:
1. Almond Milk that is 50% richer than cow milk.
2. Peanut Buttermilk that is already winning hearts.
3. Protein Cookies rich in nutrition, rich in taste.
4. Barista Almond Milk for all your beverage cravings.
5. Protein Nut Milk for a healthful lifestyle, every day.
FIAPO has collaborated with Plant Veda (Nutriva) to promote their products and eradicate the myth that ‘milk is good for health’. Happy to collaborate with and promoting Plant Veda, Varda Mehrotra, Executive Director, FIAPO, said “We need more vegan food in our local markets and malls and particularly provide nutritious dairy-free alternatives to children. We are delighted to collaborate with Plant Veda to help people make this transition for their health, for the animals and for the planet.”
Many studies have proved how consuming milk and milk products is unhealthy due to the high cholesterol in the milk products. The high amount of uric acid in milk is also responsible for causing bone problems like osteoporosis. There are many studies that have showed there is no link between milk consumption and bone health. Countries with the lowest rate of milk consumption have been recorded to have the lowest rate of bone fractures whereas countries with the highest rate of milk consumption have the highest rate of bone fractures. Countries with high rate of milk consumption are also recorded to have high rate of arthritis, osteoporosis, etc.
Celebrating the partnership, Khushboo Gupta, Co-founder, Plant Veda, said, “We are glad to associate with such a prestigious organisation like FIAPO (Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations) as it helps us catapult towards our goal of spreading awareness about plant-based lifestyle that is free of cruelty and full of health.”
Around 27% of the population in India is vegetarian but many people are now moving towards veganism and are eagerly looking for readily available dairy-free options. FIAPO recently conducted a survey in Delhi-NCR to know the food preference of Indian population between the age group of 15 to 50 years. The statistics suggest that majority of the population is concerned about and pays ample attention to the ingredients of consumable products. In addition to this, the greater part of our society is moving towards dairy-free, organic and healthier options. People do not want to consume milk that is full of chemicals and is derived out of torturing animals. The survey also highlighted that contemporary audience is aware and cares about the source of food. The findings of this study, provide enough reasons helping the food and beverage industry in shifting to cruelty-free ingredients and thus helping reduce the number of animals bred and abused for food products.
Through Corporate Outreach FIAPO continues to work towards having more plant-based products in stores, restaurants, etc. and have food companies, restaurants, corporate canteens replace meat and dairy with plant-based products.
