Here’s a breakdown of some of the experiences you can expect when embarking upon our Canada & New England Cruise, Oct. 3-11, 2019.
Arriving in Boston
You’ll arrive in Boston at the time of the year when the leaves are setting the hills and historic landscapes on fire with vibrant colors. Your stop in Boston begins with a 3-hour tour of the city, continuing towards the port, where visitors will board the Norwegian Gem. You’ll then travel throughout the northeast, stopping first in Bar Harbour in Maine, then cruising on through the Atlantic Ocean towards Canada.
Traveling Through Canada
After leaving New England, the Norwegian Gem cruises onward, stopping first in Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia. Then guests will visit Charlottetown in beautiful Prince Edward Island, for being one of Canada’s oldest settlements as well as its world-renown PEI muscles and thriving fishing industry.
Onwards to Quebec
After spending a day at sea, you’ll arrive in beautiful La Baie, Quebec, one of three small towns in the city of Saguenay. It was the first colony constructed in the famous Saguenay-Lac-St.-Jean region. After taking in the history and sights of Saguenay, La Baie, travelers continue on toward Quebec City, the province’s capital situated along the St. Lawrence River. Founded in the early 1600s by French explorer Samuel de Champlain, it’s one of the oldest European cities in North America.
