President of India awarded Josh Talks with the National Media Award
January 28, 2019: January 25, 2019: Election Commission of India (ECI) celebrated the
National Voters’ Day on 25th January 2019 at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi. Hon’ble President of India Sh. Ram Nath Kovind along with Sh. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister, Law & Justice, graced the occasion with their presence. On the given occasion, Josh Talks was awarded with the National Media Award for its #MakeYourMark campaign to create awareness and engagement amongst the first time voters. Josh Talks is India’s largest impact media platform and launched #MakeYourMark campaign in 2018 where they documented 14 real stories to educate young individuals on the importance of exercising their vote and the power and responsibility that comes upon each citizen, as being a part of a democracy. Applauding Josh Talks for its efforts, the President asked them to keep contributing to conduct of free and fair elections. Sh. Sunil Arora, Chief Election Commissioner along with Sh. Ashok Lavasa, Election Commissioner were also present on the occasion.

Our goal with #MakeYourMark campaign is to engage with these first-time voters and to make sure that they do make their mark. It is really important to realize the importance of exercising our vote and the power and responsibility that comes upon each citizen, as being a part of a democracy. 2019 is a big year for all of us and thus we are strongly committed to making an impact to strengthen our democracy.
