Hong Kong, December 09, 2018 /PressReleasePing/ – HARTING exhibited its Ethernet communication products and today’s and tomorrow’s technologies at the Hannover Messe (Austria, April 23-27, Hall 11 / Booth C15) on May 8th, 2018. Miniaturization is one of the six major trends that represent the development of integrated industries and reflect customer benefits. Components and complete machines in all areas of industry and automation are shrinking. Digitization also diversifies on-site smart devices and off-centre processing capabilities. With large data highways and branch bus systems dominated, more and more intelligent components such as camera systems, sensors, and actuators are being applied to the most remote field level via high-speed Ethernet. They are the lifeblood of an increasingly powerful and rapidly networked industry.

In order to provide equipment manufacturers with the appropriate miniaturized interface, HARTING has created a new range of small volume alternatives in the connector field. Ix Industrial® can perform the same functions as the RJ45. Despite its smaller size, it is more robust and can reach 10GBits. For applications where the user is processing operational materials or other environmental impacts, Fast Ethernet can be used to connect to the HARTING M8 D-encoded sensor without having to enter the M12 deployment location.

This method does not stop in front of the outer wall. Miniaturization is also a way to apply to boards. Thanks to ingenious transformer integration, the M12 Magnetics saves up to 30% space and simplifies the routing of conductor paths.

Moreover, due to the long way to go for miniaturization, HARTING is working on the development of T1/single-pair Ethernet transmission technology. As a provider of SPE transmission solutions, HARTING is seeking a partnership with reliable technology partners such as LEONI and Reutlingen Business School in the spirit of “Connect and Collaborate”. The single twisted pair Ethernet – another highlight of HARTING at the Hannover Industrial Fair in 2018.
