Zigly, (Cosmo First Limited) India’s first tech-enabled omni-channel pet care brand, has entered Jaipur market and unveiled the first experience center in Vaishali Nagar. The new store, spread across 1428 sq. ft. launched at Plot no 273, Ground Floor, Gom Defence, Khatipura Road, Jaipur, offers vet services along with pet spa & grooming services. Air India Express, announces the commencement of new routes from Gwalior to two major metropolitan cities – Gwalior to Delhi and Gwalior to Bengaluru, starting January 16th. The airline will operate daily direct flights on these routes, significantly improving the connectivity to and from Gwalior. This comes less than a month after the airline started operations from the city with direct connectivity to Hyderabad.
The inaugural flight on the Bengaluru-Gwalior route, IX 1590, is set to depart on January 16, 2024, at 05:10 hours, reaching Gwalior at 07:45 hours. The return flight, IX 1592, will leave Gwalior at 15:35 hours, arriving in Bengaluru at 18:10 hours. IX 1590 on the Gwalior-Delhi route will depart Gwalior at 08:15 hours, landing in Delhi at 09:20 hours. Subsequently, from Delhi, IX 1592 departs at 13:35 hours, touching down in Gwalior at 15:00 hours.
Speaking about the expansion, Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India Express, said “At Air India Express, our commitment is to fortify the connectivity of New India, with a particular focus on our robust tier 2 & 3 cities. The launch of services from Gwalior to New Delhi and Bengaluru symbolises this pledge. Beyond these direct flights, we are establishing connections from Gwalior to 21 key destinations, accessible via convenient one-stop itineraries through Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Hyderabad. Furthermore, the New Delhi – Gwalior flight extends convenient via-connectivity for the people of Gwalior to the city of Ayodhya.”
The airline has released the schedule for daily non-stop flights between Gwalior, Delhi, and Bengaluru, with bookings available through the airline’s award-winning mobile app and website airindiaexpress.com, as well as other major booking platforms.

Air India Express facilitates seamless travel with 344 weekly flights departing from Bengaluru, connecting the city directly to 22 destinations. Additionally, the airline provides direct connectivity from Delhi to 17 destinations, operating a total of 259 weekly flights. In Hyderabad, AIX operates 108 weekly departures and connects 12 direct destinations.
On December 20, Air India Express announced the commencement of operations from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, which became its 45th station. Recently, AIXL also became the first airline to operate a direct flight from Surat to Dubai on the very day when the Surat International Airport had its new international terminal inaugurated.

Assets Care and Reconstruction Enterprise Limited (ACRE), one of India’s largest asset reconstruction companies (ARC), announced a successful exit from its investment in Jayaswal Neco Industries Limited (JNIL). This is one of the largest debt resolutions outside the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) framework, underscoring ACRE’s efficiency in effective financial restructuring.
ACRE had aggregated 100% of the debt of JNIL with a cash investment of ~INR 2,700 Crore and subsequently restructured the debt, resulting in a recovery of more than INR 5,600 Crore over a 5-year period. The deal marked one of the few instances of a complete distressed asset takeover in India and one of the few large cases which saw interest from a lot of global marquee investors. While the debt has been re-paid, ACRE continues to retain 26% equity stake in JNIL.
Jayaswal Neco Industries Limited is a leading player in the specialty auto-grade steel segment mainly catering to commercial vehicles. It owns and operates a 1 MTPA fully-integrated steel plant in Chhattisgarh and is listed on both the NSE and BSE with a market cap of ~ INR 5,000 Cr.
Ms. Neeta Mukerji, CEO of ACRE, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “The successful debt resolution and recovery in JNIL is a testament to ACRE’s expertise in resolving large stressed assets in India. It is one of the largest cash deals in the ARC space and also the one of the largest resolutions outside NCLT.”

Essar Oil UK announces the selection of a second key licensor technology provider, Topsoe, for the planned EET Industrial Carbon Capture (“ICC”) facility based at Stanlow, UK. Topsoe will provide its sustainable flue-gas treatment technology SNOXTM.
This is a pivotal step towards Essar Oil UK’s $1.2 billion investment in decarbonising the refinery by reducing ~2 million tons of CO2 (95%) emissions, making it the world’s first low carbon refinery and a producer of low carbon fuels.
Deepak Maheshwari, CEO of Essar Oil UK, said, “We are ready to move into the next phase of Essar Oil UK’s decarbonisation strategy. With an investment of $1.2 billion, Essar Oil UK is positioned to be the world’s first low carbon refinery. The industrial carbon capture facility, combined with our upcoming hydrogen fuel switching project, will reduce the refinery’s CO2 emissions by 95%. Topsoe is a valuable partner in this endeavour. With Topsoe SNOX™ technology we are getting a well proven and highly sustainable flue-gas treatment.”
Essar’s overall decarbonisation strategy plans to reduce refinery emissions with two state-of-the-art projects:
- Industrial carbon capture (ICC) announced at Stanlow in November 2022, aims to be operational by 2028. The project will result in an annual emissions reduction of ~1 million tons of CO2
- Hydrogen fuel switching from natural gas to hydrogen as fuel source, resulting in an annual emissions reduction of ~1 million tons of CO2
.
This puts Essar Oil UK at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition by producing the UK’s first low carbon fuels, securing the refinery’s vital ongoing role in UK energy security and resilience.
With the selection of Topsoe and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Essar Oil UK has identified most of its technology partners and is ready to progress to the front-end engineering design (“FEED”) phase of the project. Development of the basic engineering design packages (BEDP) for the licensed technologies is already ongoing.
Elena Scaltritti, CCO at Topsoe, said, “We are thrilled to have been chosen as technology licensor for Essar Oil UK and support them in meeting their decarbonisation targets. The agreement represents a landmark step for Topsoe’s development in the United Kingdom, and we look forward to working with Essar on this important project, which is a great example of how the fossil industry can decarbonise itself.”

Nexzu Mobility, a sustainable urban transportation solutions provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat, to develop India’s first ever Smart EV Park in a move that promises to redefine the country’s mobility landscape.
The company will invest INR 5,000 crores over the next 10 years to set up the park, which is expected to generate employment for over 5,000 people. Work on the project is set to begin next year once land has been allotted to it.
This landmark agreement between Nexzu and the State of Gujarat comes as the mobility space straddles a critical juncture.
Electric vehicles are a key pillar of India’s push to slash its greenhouse gas emissions and are finding increasingly greater acceptance with commercial and passenger vehicle customers.
The Smart EV Park, harnessing all of the promise and potential of the skills and visionary policies instituted by the Government of Gujarat, will provide a big boost to the development of the overall EV ecosystem, accelerating adoption of electric mobility.
It will act as a hub providing comprehensive solutions for EV companies, professionals, owners, and users by enabling an ecosystem in a concentrated area, streamlining the supply chain, enabling cross pollination of ideas, knowledge and infrastructure sharing.
Commenting on the signing of the MoU, Mr. Atulya Mittal, Founder, Nexzu Mobility said, “We are excited to redefine the landscape of clean and green mobility by signing this ambitious MoU. The proposed Smart EV Park will be a state-of-the-art industrial park with ready to move in manufacturing facilities, common testing facilities, common R&D units, housing, educational and healthcare facilities. It will also include facilities designed to train professionals on the latest in electronics, battery manufacturing, powertrains and other EV components. The EV Smart Park will also support start-up entities who have a vision and the technology, but lack the infrastructure or mechanical engineering and operations expertise required to kick start their operations.
